community branding
Port Byron's history runs back to as early as 1836, when it was first planted. Named after Lord Byron, an English poet, it has grown from a small settlement to a village that still values the history that has preceded the generations. Known for the famous Tug Fest, an annual event between Leclaire and Port Byron. It is held on the Mississippi River which has aided much in the community's development. While the population has been growing at a slow pace, this village is a close-knit community that beholds quiet moments of sunsets along the Mississippi River. It symbolizes why it is important to take a step back and simply enjoy life as is. Taking this and more into consideration has resulted in this final branding for my hometown of Port Byron.
